Stratford Soccer Club Board- Call for Nominations

The following positions are up for election at our 2026 AGM which will be held in March. The date and time of the AGM will be announced in the upcoming weeks. 

Please see below for the description of duties for each position. 

President (2 year term)

The President is the chief executive officer of the Club providing general supervision and control of its business. The President’s shall have the following duties:

• Representing the Club in all dealings with other groups or organizations impacting on the club's programs, adhering to the policies established by these By-Laws and to any guidance which may be supplied by the Board.

• Serving as the chairperson for Club meetings.

• Exercising the authority to call a meeting of the Executive and/or Board at any time, providing each member is given adequate notice.

• Casting a deciding vote when necessary.

• Maintaining, monitoring, and updating web site announcements • Placing new items and announcements in local media

• Serving as a liaison with the Town regarding use of facilities

• Utilizing website capabilities to contact membership with general information

• Performing other duties as required.

The President has the authority to delegate the above duties.

 

Secretary (2 year term)

The Secretary shall have the following duties:

• Recording minutes of all SSC meetings

• Maintaining these minutes as permanent records available for examination by any member

• Ensuring the reports for the annual report are compiled

• Attending to all correspondence of the club as directed by the President.

 

Mini Program Director- U5,U6 U7 Age Groups

The Mini Program Director (U5 to U7 Programs) shall have the following duties:

• Ensuring the mini soccer program is organized and coordinated.

• Representing the Mini Program at the Board of Director meetings • Facilitating the kickoff of the mini program

• Dealing with mini program membership inquiries, issues, and concerns as they arise

• Working closely with the Technical Director

• Attending to all correspondence related to the mini program, excluding registration

• Responsible for being soccerfest or tournament chair or co-chair, when required for U5, U6, U7 age divisions.

 

Youth Director (2 year term)

The Youth Director shall have the following duties:

• Ensuring that coaches are orientated to the organization and have everything they need to run a successful program.

• Facilitating the kickoff of the U13-U18 program

• Dealing with youth membership inquiries, issues, and concerns as they arise.

• Assisting in the recruitment and appointment of coaches for approval by the Board of Directors

• Working closely with the Technical Director

• Representing the Club at all youth meetings, including PEISA meetings

• Attending to all correspondence related to the youth division, excluding registration.

 

Senior Director (2 year term)

 The Senior Director shall have the following duties:

• Ensuring that coaches and/or team representatives are orientated to the Club and have everything they need to run a successful team

• Representing senior teams at the Board of Directors meetings.

• Dealing with senior membership inquiries, issues, and concerns as they arise

• Attending to all correspondence related to the senior division, excluding registration

• Responsible for being soccerfest or tournament chair or co-chair, when required for senior age division.

 

Director at Large ( 2 year term)

The Director at Large shall oversee the canteen operations and carry out duties as requested by the Board.

 

 

Mini Program Director (One year term)

 U9 Age Group The Mini Program Director (U9 Program) shall have the following duties:

• Ensuring the U9 program is organized and coordinated.

• Representing the U9 Program at the Board of Director meetings

• Facilitating the kickoff of the U9 program

• Dealing with U9 program membership inquiries, issues, and concerns as they arise

• Working closely with the Technical Director

• Attending to all correspondence related to the U9 program, excluding registration

• Responsible for being soccerfest or tournament chair or co-chair, when required for U9 age division .
